Well I've been after this kit for a very long time. I got this one for $13 bux to my door so I'm pleased.
I'm going to replicate my 1:1 1982 BMW 320i I had for many years. I'm going to build this like it is a mildly restored daily driver like I'd hoped mine would have been eventually. Sad part is I didn't keep the car due to financial issues and young age. So this is my way of holding on to a part of history that was special for me. The colour is 1982 BMW Silvermist Blue and the interior is going to be a royal blue seats and side panels with blue grey mix carpeting like the 1:1. Wheels I'm still wondering if I should toss them for some BBS that would be closer representation of my 1:1's wheels. We'll see. This I plan on being a simple quick OOB Build. Enjoy so far.

UPDATE: Well I got the interior carpeted, part of the motor assembled (not pictured), and everything painted. So Assembly should start soon. But I painted the interior in Semi Gloss Black to replicate vinyl and flocked the carpet in Grey like some BMW's had back then. Wheels are BBS wheels from the parts box and used some LowRider solid rubber tires that are the same size diameter as the kit tires. ENJOY!
Mock ups to show ride height - no interior tub.

Looks great Jason. The blue color and black trim are perfect together. The interior is coming right along. Hope to see more soon. _________________ Racecar spelled backwards is still racecaR. |
